This pin was created, to be handed out to J&J employees who participated in one or more DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion) activities as a reward. Since DEI activities are important for J&J I designed four pins. The pins have a certain value. As more activities an employee has participated the employee got a better pin. Lowest is the copper one. The highest pin value is the colored one.
The design inspiration came from origami. The bird was something we (the client and I) felt appropriate, since the bird is ofter linked to a positive attributes such as freedom and peace. And since J&J DEI initiative follows those attributes it fitted well.
